Privacy policy
Effective date: October 5, 2026
Paragon Kits is operated by Michael Schultz, a sole proprietor based in Los Angeles, California, United States. Michael Schultz is responsible for the personal information we collect for our business through paragonkits.shop. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse our store, buy digital products, subscribe to updates or contact us.
Information we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, billing address, phone number if provided, products ordered, payment status, marketing preferences and messages or files you send. Payment providers process payment information through checkout. We receive the order and payment information needed to manage your purchase. Please do not send card details or passwords by email.
Our store and connected services collect device and activity information, including IP address, browser information, cookie or device identifiers, pages and products viewed, cart and checkout activity, and interactions with marketing messages. We receive information directly from you, through your device, and from Shopify, Mailchimp and the providers that process payments and deliver downloads.
Information marked as required at checkout is needed to process payment, deliver your purchase or meet applicable legal requirements. If it is not provided, we may be unable to complete the order. Subscribing to marketing is optional.
How and why we use information
We use order and contact information to process purchases, deliver files, communicate about orders, provide support and handle refunds. Where a legal basis is required, this processing is necessary to perform our contract with you or take steps at your request before a purchase.
We use transaction and related records to meet legal obligations, including applicable tax, accounting and lawful disclosure requirements.
We use relevant order, device and communication information to investigate fraud, secure the store, resolve disputes and respond to general inquiries. Our legal basis for these activities is our legitimate interest in operating a secure business and protecting customers and our rights, where that interest is not overridden by your rights.
We use marketing preferences, contact details and, where permitted, website and message activity to send updates, measure marketing and personalize offers. Marketing messages and nonessential tracking are subject to applicable consent requirements. Where the law permits direct marketing on the basis of legitimate interests, our interest is promoting our products to appropriate customers, subject to your right to object and unsubscribe. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.
Who receives information
We share relevant information with providers of store hosting, payments, digital delivery, customer communications, security, analytics and marketing. These include Shopify for the store platform, Shopify Digital Products for delivering downloads, and Mailchimp for connected customer communications and marketing. Payment providers receive the information needed for the payment method you select. Shopify Digital Products uses information needed to make your files available and assist with access. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, respond to legal claims or protect rights.
Shopify and information from other sites
Shopify hosts the store and processes information about your visits and purchases. Through its enhanced services, Shopify also uses information from interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to provide services including personalization and advertising. In this context, Shopify is responsible for its own processing under its Consumer Privacy Policy. Shopify and other partners may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites and services. Disclosures for these purposes may count as sale, sharing or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws.

Cookies, tracking and choices
Cookies and similar technologies support the store's essential functions and may also be used for preferences, analytics and marketing by Shopify, Mailchimp and connected services. Essential technologies help provide functions such as checkout and security. Nonessential uses are subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
Use Cookie preferences to review and change your cookie choices. To request an opt-out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, use our Data sharing opt-out page: https://paragonkits.shop/pages/data-sharing-opt-out. This choice addresses those uses and disclosures of your personal information; it does not stop processing needed to provide your purchase or meet legal requirements. To unsubscribe from marketing emails, use the separate instructions below.
For privacy requests or to ask about your tracking choices, contact info@paragonkits.shop. You can also use Shopify's privacy portal above for choices about Shopify's own processing. Browser cookie settings can limit storage on your device, but may affect store functions and do not replace a request to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising.
Legacy browser Do Not Track signals are different from Global Privacy Control. Shopify states that it does not change its processing in a particular way in response to legacy Do Not Track signals. For specific privacy requests, contact info@paragonkits.shop. You can also use Shopify's privacy portal for requests about Shopify's own processing.
Email preferences
Unsubscribe from marketing using the link in a marketing email or by contacting info@paragonkits.shop. Essential messages about an order, download or support request may continue. A purchase does not require a marketing subscription.
Retention and international processing
We keep personal information for the time reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Retention depends on the record: order and transaction information may be needed for tax, accounting, purchase support and disputes; support messages may be needed to resolve an inquiry and maintain related records; and marketing preferences may be needed to manage subscriptions and respect opt-outs. Applicable legal requirements and unresolved disputes can require longer retention.
Paragon Kits operates in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States, Canada and other countries with different privacy laws. Where transfer protections are required, applicable provider agreements and safeguards govern. Shopify describes its binding corporate rules, adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards, depending on the transfer, in its privacy and data-processing terms. Mailchimp describes its Data Privacy Framework and contractual mechanisms in its data-processing terms. Contact us for relevant safeguards and how to obtain a copy.

Your rights and requests
Depending on the laws that apply, you may request access to or a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, withdrawal of consent, or an objection to processing. You may also have a right to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, appeal a denied request, or complain to a data protection authority.
Email info@paragonkits.shop to make a request, seek review of a response or ask a privacy question. We may reasonably verify identity and an authorized agent's authority where needed. Some information must be retained for legal reasons; we will explain relevant limitations. We will not penalize you for exercising rights protected by law. UK residents can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. EEA residents can contact their local data protection authority.
Children
Our store is intended for music creators and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required permission. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
Changes and contact
We will post updates to this policy with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the store or notify affected customers by email as appropriate, and obtain fresh consent where required.
